- Swish a bit of aloe vera juice around in your mouth several times daily to soothe the inflamed ahead. Be sure to use a food-grade product for this purpose.
- To help clear infection and stimulate your immune system, take one dose of Echinacea and goldenseal herbal combination formula supplying 250 to 500 milligrams of Echinacea and 150 to 300 milligrams of goldenseal three times a day until the canker sore improves, up to one week.
