Licorice helps to strengthen adrenal function. Strong adrenal function is associated with the effective transport of water in the body. Siberian ginseng helps the body to adapt to stress. On days when you will be engaging in strenuous physical activity, whether an athletic event or a physical chore, take 500 milligrams of a licorice and Siberian ginseng combination three times daily. Obviously, this is to be done in combination with sufficient fluid intake, not in place of it.
Note: Do not take licorice on a daily basis for more than five days at a time, as it can elevate blood pressure. Do not take it at all if you have high blood pressure.
