Use an elimination diet to investigate whether food allergies or sensitivities may be contributing to the problem. Food allergies and sensitivities can aggravate many skin conditions. Among the most commonly allergenic foods are diary products and foods containing gluten, a protein found in wheat, rye, barley and oats.
A deficiency of biotin, one of the B vitamins, is associated with dry, scaly skin. Include in your diet foods that are good sources of biotin, such as soy foods, garlic, sesame, and barley (if you are not sensitive to gluten).
Take a well balanced diet which will include vegetables, fruits, brown rice, millet and oly fish. Drink plenty of water. Avoid taking fried foods, processed foods, dairy products, excessive fat from meat. Avoid sugar, white flour, gluten and raw eggs.
